God is with us
pastor corner

Has there been times in your life where you have felt like you are alone, even as a Christian? Have you ever felt like God has forsaken or abandoned you? If so, you are not alone.

There is a question in scripture, pertaining to this, directed towards God which states, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”. It was the cry from Jesus while hanging on the cross but also came out of the mouth of King David while running for his life. In scripture there are many who have asked this same question; my mind especially goes to Moses and Joseph.

Throughout history there have been many up to this present day which have cried out these words.

The good news is that we serve a God who cares and is working out His plans through us. We just have to trust in Him and what He is doing. Romans 8:28 reminds us that “in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”. We also have a promise that is stated at least 5 times and insinuated many more times in scripture. It says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you”.

The great preacher and theologian John Wesley’s last words were, “Best of all is, God is with us”. Each and every day may we be assured by these words.
