David said in Psalm 18:3, “I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise.” If we think about it, God is always worthy of our praise. We don’t always get what we want nor do things always turn out the way that we would like them to, but God is in control. According to Romans 8:28, “ all things work together for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”.
If you are a believer in Jesus, then no matter what happens, you still win. We are promised eternal life once we have chosen to become a follower of Jesus. We possess peace that cannot be bought or earned. We have the Holy Spirit who gives us guidance and comfort. There are so many other things that our Lord does for us because we are His children.
How easy is it to be so busy in this life where we fail to take the time to stop and acknowledge the goodness of God.
One way to get into a good habit of daily praising the Lord is to use the Lord’s prayer as a model. It starts out with “Our Father in heaven, hollowed be your name,”. This word “hollowed” means holy is your name or your name is set apart above any other name. This name is worthy to be praised.
So, if you haven’t taken the time to praise the Lord today, do it now and make it a daily habit.
