Ana Hercilia Gaybort

Hinesville

Ana Hercilia Gaybort, age 100, died Monday, Aug. 6, at Hospice Savannah.

She was a native of Panama; for the last nine years she lived in the United States. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include a son, Luis Gaybort of Hinesville; two daughters, Carmen Smith of Hinesville and Hercilia Lay of Panama; nine grandchildren and a number of great and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 2-3 p.m., today, Aug. 11, St. Stephen Catholic Church, Hinesville, Ga.

Funeral Mass: 3 p.m., today, Aug. 11, St. Stephen Catholic Church with Father Thomas Murphy officiating.

Richmond Hill Funeral Home, Cox Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.

Doyle John Quattlebaum

Thomasville

Mr. Doyle John Quattlebaum, died Wednesday, Aug. 8 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Quattlebaum was born Dec. 30, 1931 in Aiken, South Carolina to the late Claude G. Quattlebaum and the late Sophie Quattlebaum. He married Joyce Mason Quattlebaum in Pembroke on Oct. 26, 1957. He was retired from Addison Corporation in Albany, Ga. as a Territorial Sales Manager. He was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Thomasville where he was a member of the Men’s Honor Bound.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Mason Quattlebaum of Thomasville; a son, Doyle John Quattlebaum Jr. of Thomasville; grandson, Lyle Quattlebaum of Thomasville; a granddaughter, Ashlyn Quattlebaum of Thomasville; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Clarice Mason Jones and husband Ray of Pembroke, Edwin Mason and wife Marie of Statesboro; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Christine and Ruie Davis, Katheline and Bill Wright and Claude G. Quattlebaum, Jr.

The funeral service will be held today, Aug. 11, at 11 a.m. in the First Assembly of God in Thomasville, with Pastor Bruce Willingham, Pastor David Lamb, Pastor Joseph Landreth and Pastor Brent Welch officiating.

Interment will be in Northside Cemetery in Pembroke, with Pastor Spencer Moore officiating.

Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home of Thomasville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
