Leaders Who Read — Literacy Event

 March 21 at 12 noon | Pembroke Library

The Leaders Who Read Literacy Event promotes early childhood literacy and a lifelong love of reading by connecting community leaders with young readers and families. Participants will engage in interactive read-aloud sessions and receive resources that support early learning and literacy development.

 Health Unlocked Series 

March 24 at 6:30 PM Richmond Hill Family Connections

 The Health Unlocked Series is an interactive discussion focused on health education, prevention, and overall wellness. This session will explore topics affecting community health and provide opportunities for dialogue while connecting attendees with valuable local health resources. 

Gullah Geechee Festival

 March 28 from noon –6 PM at J.F. Gregory Park 

The Gullah Geechee Festival celebrates the rich culture, history, and traditions of the Gullah Geechee community through music, art, food, storytelling, and educational exhibits. Volunteers are needed to assist with outreach and engagement throughout the event.

 Richmond Hill Resource Fair 

April 23 from 3-9:PM at Richmond Hill City Center 

The Richmond Hill Resource Fair connects residents with organizations and service providers offering support in areas such as health services, education resources, employment opportunities, housing assistance, and social services. Volunteers are encouraged to participate in helping create a welcoming and organized experience for all attendees.

 Juneteenth Breakfast

 June 20 at J. Dixie Harn Community Center 

The Juneteenth Breakfast commemorates the historical significance of Juneteenth through fellowship and reflection. This event recognizes the ongoing pursuit of freedom, equity, and justice while bringing community members together in celebration and remembrance.
