University of New Hampshire announces dean's list

Amber Rose of Richmond Hill has been named to the dean's list at the University of New Hampshire for earning high honors for the spring 2018 semester. Rose is majoring in biomedical science and medical microbiology.

Students named to the dean's list at the University of New Hampshire have earned recognition through their superior scholastic performance during a semester enrolled in 12 or more graded credits. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors.

Bryan County Commissioners on Tuesday night deferred a decision on whether to rezone some 3.8 acres near the historic Burnt Church Cemetery to allow a Parker’s Kitchen convenience store. The vote to defer the decision for 30 days to look into concerns raised by opponents to the project came after several residents – including parents of children buried in the 195-year-old cemetery – urged commissioners to deny the rezoning.
