Canady's Heating + Air + Plumbing has launched the Sixth Annual Canady’s Coats for Kids drive for the winter season.

Canady’s Coats for Kids has partnered with United Way of the Coastal Empire to collect donations of new, unused coats for children aging from infant to 17 years old.

“These are exciting times as we enter the sixth year of our Canady’s Coats for Kids Campaign,” Fred Canady, Founder of Canady's Heating + Air + Plumbing, said. “Each year, the community has been so generous in donating new coats for children in need in Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, and Liberty counties.”

The campaign kicked off on December 1,, and runs through Friday, January 2, 2026. Canady’s will deliver the coats for distribution to United Way of the Coastal Empire on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. The United Way of the Coastal Empire will distribute the coats to member agencies serving children in need.

Canady’s Coats for Kids has donation sites at Belk at Oglethorpe Mall, Canady’s offices on Wilmington Island and in Richmond Hill, and several convenient United Way locations. Collection boxes are inside each donation site’s lobby.
