The Bryan County Commission has appointed Richmond Hill banker Jon Seagraves  to the Development Authority of Bryan County Board of Directors to serve a four-year term, according to a DABC press release sent Friday afternoon.

“We are pleased to welcome Jon to the board,” said DABC Chairman Noah Covington. “Jon has a proven track record of giving back to community, and we look forward to him sharing his time and talents with the DABC as we work to grow industrial jobs and investment in Bryan County.”

Jon is a native of Richmond Hill. He graduated from Armstrong State University in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He has worked in the banking industry for 14 years and currently holds the position of coastal division president for Citizens Bank & Trust in Richmond Hill.

“I am excited to be joining the DABC Board of Directors. I think the work the Development Authority does is very important, and I am looking forward to assisting them in continuing to make a positive impact on Bryan County,” Seagraves said.

The press release said Seagraves has taken part in leadership development opportunities with Leadership Bryan, Leadership Southeast Georgia, and the University of Georgia’s Banking School. He has been chosen to lead the Richmond Hill-Bryan County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors as chairman in January.

Seagraves is also a past president of the Rotary Club of Richmond Hill. In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors, boating, and fishing on the coast with his wife and three children.
