Fort Stewart Forestry Branch will be burning in the following training areas Thursday, according to a news release from the post.

1. 903 acres 18 miles northwest of the cantonment area, nearly 16 miles northwest of Lawson fire tower. Flames should not be visible from Highway 119.

2. 762 acres nearly 13 miles northwest of the cantonment area, nearly 11 miles northwest of Lawson fire tower. Flames should not be visible from Highway 119.

Winds are predicted to be out of the south at 8-12 mph, so it is unlikely that Richmond Hill will see smoke. Western Bryan Evans counties could, however.
