A Hinesville man was shot multiple times shortly after 11:30 p.m. Monday at Eagle Apartments.
The victim, later identified as Brian Lynch, 29, was flown by a medical helicopter to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah and underwent emergency surgery to remove the bullets, according to Hinesville Police Department Detective Butch Kesner. Lynch is in stable condition.
HPD Officer Travis Probst, who responded to the shooting in the 200 block of Darsey Road, said he found Lynch lying on the living-room floor inside a unit, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
According to the incident report Probst filed, it was unclear how many times Lynch had been shot; however, the officer found several shell casings on the floor and saw two visible wounds.
Kesner said one bullet entered Lynch’s left shoulder and another bullet entered his right leg, and two wounds were found on his back.
Kesner declined to go into detail on the incident because it still is under investigation.
