Hwy. 67 from Pembroke to Statesboro were closed to traffic this morning due to a brush fire in Bulloch County, according to Bryan County Emergency Services Director Jim Anderson.

Drivers were being rerouted to I-16, though a fatal wreck near mile marker 128 in Bulloch County closed down the westbound lanes of the interstate, while eastbound lanes are blocked due to low visibility caused by smoke and fog, according to news reports.

The lanes were reopened around 10:30 a.m., though traffic was backed up for miles. According to reports, traffic heading to I-16 on Hwy. 67 had to be rerouted onto Hwy. 46 ant then back to I-16.
