From Bryan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

Affray: This one’s from Tuesday at Bryan County High School, where an argument between two girls escalated into something more.

"A few minutes later the two students began to physically fight each other and ended up on the floor of Room 307 (a classroom)," reported a deputy. "I ran into the room and tried to physically pull the two female students apart while both students still continued to hit each other. I then tried to get between the students while on the ground, giving verbal commands to stop and to let each other go several times."

They wouldn’t.

"I was able to get between the students but they were continuing to throw punches," the report continued, noting the deputy used his Taser to stun one of the girls, while the other girl was on his back throwing punches. The use of the Taser had a positive effect, the report said, and the students were separated and taken to different areas. The girl who was stunned was treated by the school nurse and apparently will be OK.

Unsafe driver: A deputy on patrol around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday "found a gold Honda Civic parked in the shrubbery at Parkers on Highway 17."

Inside was a "white female … unconscious behind the steering wheel. It took several minutes to wake (the female) up. (She) was disoriented and confused when she awoke."

The woman told deputies she was on her way to Midway "to meet her mother when she pulled over to take a nap." The woman said she is on both Xanax and Adderall but "only takes as prescribed."

The deputies told the woman she couldn’t keep driving. He woman said she’d call her mother to "pick her up and leave her car at Parker’s."

"(The woman) called her mother and she agreed to pick her up in 20 minutes. Deputies waited over an hour for her mother to arrive. (The woman) called her mother to see how far away she was and her mother advised she was stopped by (Georgia State Patrol) in Midway."

Deputies called dispatch and found there were no troopers in Midway. The woman’s mother finally showed up around 5:15 a.m. to pick her daughter up.

Matter of record: Deputies were sent to an Ellabell address on March 31 regarding a 911 hangup. When they got there, they learned a woman’s "6-year-old son … had called 911 because his mother wasn’t giving him what he wanted," a report said.

The child "has several behaviorial/mental conditions …" and has threatened his mother with a golf club, tried to get out of a moving car and also snatched at the steering wheel while his mother drove. The woman said she takes her son to a psychiatrist each week and he takes medications. She wanted the incident documented "as she feels like there are currently no resources available."

Prowling: This one happened on April Fools Day, no less. "I responded to the incident location in reference to a prowling complaint …" the report began. "(The complainant) said about 15 minutes before contacting 911, unknown individual(s) rang her doorbell and ran. (She) said this is the second incident involving ‘Ding Dong Ditch’ at her residence. The first incident occurred (around 11:15 p.m. March 25)."

The woman said she doesn’t know who "keeps ringing her doorbell and leaving. She requested a report be made to document the incidents."
