The following reports are from the Bryan County Sheriff’s Department. DUI-drugs: Sept. 15 — Deputies stopped a Fleming man just before 2 a.m. on Highway 17 after he was seen traveling in both southbound lanes of traffic. The man handed deputies a Mexican driver’s license and said he didn’t have an American driver’s license. Deputies smelled alcohol on the man, who also had bloodshot and glassy eyes. He was arrested for DUI and driving without a license.

Burglary: Sept. 8 — Deputies responded to Highway 204 in Ellabell just before 3 p.m. after a man reported several items missing. The Port Wentworth man said he does not live at the home, but came to check on things and found a television, chrome wheels, several hand tools and more items missing.

Public intoxication: Sept. 8 — Deputies arrested an Ellabell man after he was seen walking down Arden Loop Road and standing in front of traffic. He was “stumbling around” and could not stand up without assistance. He also smelled of alcohol and was arrested.

Theft by taking: Sept. 14 — Deputies responded to Pine Needly Drive in Richmond Hill around 7 p.m. after a man reported scrap metal missing from his property. He said an unknown person backed a vehicle on his property and stole about $300 worth of scrap metal. The incident is under investigation.
