Bryan County Emergency Services will host a “meet and greet” for ham-radio operators from 7-9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at 5995 Highway 204 in Ellabell.
The meeting will showcase Bryan County’s mobile communications and command vehicle, demonstrating the capabilities of the radio systems the BCES has on board. The BCES is trying to get interest going in a group dedicated to assisting public-safety and emergency communications in times of disaster.
Anyone interested in amateur radio, licensed or wanting to become licensed is welcome to attend.
