A Pembroke teen hit by lightning Wednesday afternoon is reportedly in critical but stable condition at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.

Dalton Raulerson, 14, a student at Pinewood Christian Academy, was attending football practice in Bellvue when he was struck, according to authorities.

Coaches reportedly started CPR immediately and used a defibrillator until paramedics arrived. Raulerson was taken to Evans Memorial Hospital in Claxton, then driven by ambulance to Memorial.

He is the son of Lawrence and Tonya Raulerson of Pembroke.
