The Pembroke City Council will vote next week on the proposed 2011 budget, which is slightly smaller than this year’s spending plan but still reflects small salary increases for employees and more compensation for volunteer firefighters.
The proposed 2011 general fund budget is $1.55 million, a 3 percent, or $52,468, decrease from this year’s $1.61 million. The council will vote on the budget during its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at city hall.
