Winn Army Community Hospital will open the newly constructed Emergency Department at 7 a.m. Dec. 9.

Before the official opening, a ribbon-cutting for the new facility will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 7.

Updated signs will be in place to direct traffic to the new entrance. To minimize confusion, barriers will be in place to block access to the old Emergency Department. Ambulances should use the ambulance drive to transport patients to the ambulance entrance. All other emergency-room visitors should use the emergency entrance.

Winn pharmacy to close for renovations in January

The Winn Army Community Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy is closing for renovations and upgrades.

Beginning Jan. 25, outpatient beneficiaries will not be able to fill prescriptions in the hospital. Active-duty beneficiaries will receive new prescriptions at the Hawks Troop Medical Clinic, Building 412. Refills must be called in using the automated call-in refill system (912-435-6576) and will continue to be picked up at the Refill Pharmacy, Building 419, next to the commissary.

All non-active duty beneficiaries will receive new and refill prescriptions at the Refill Pharmacy. All refills must be called in using the automated call-in refill system.

Pediatric patients seen at the Winn ACH Pediatric Clinic will continue to receive prescriptions at the Winn Pediatric Pharmacy, at the clinic.

This will remain in effect until further notice. Winn ACH will issue another notice when pharmacy renovations are completed.
