Justin Covington is a Bryan County High senior, a baseball player and cross-country runner and he plans to be a teacher.

Where are you originally from and how long have you lived in Bryan County?

I first lived in Ellabell and moved to Pembroke. I have lived in Bryan County my whole life.

What do you like about Bryan County High School?

I like the safe environment the school provides and the teaching skills of the teachers.

Do you enjoy school?

Yes, I do. I like seeing my friends every day as well as learning new things.

Are you involved in extracurricular activities?

I am. I have been a part of the baseball team for all four years of high school, and I am also running cross-country for my first year.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I enjoy spending time with my family, girlfriend, and friends, as well as going to my church.

What do you plan to do or be when you graduate from high school?

I hope to get a scholarship to play baseball at any college, and plan to get a degree in education so I can become a teacher.

What do you like about living in North Bryan County?

Even though it seems like it’s growing, I like the small, rural area.

If you could change one thing about North Bryan County, what would it be and why?

I would change the fact that it is growing. I don’t want it to grow. I want it to be the same place that I grew up in. The small, two gas station, one red light town.

What is your favorite book and what particularly do you like about it?

My favorite book is the Bible. It has every characteristic of every other book and it tells you the best love story ever.

What is your favorite movie and what particularly do you like about it?

My favorite movie is definitely "Benchwarmers." It’s a funny baseball movie and it has to do with the underdog. I love movies with underdogs.

What is your favorite TV show?

I love ESPN. I get to see highlights of every game I miss.

Where is your favorite place to visit?

I would have to say that my favorite place is the beach in the early morning before anything has happened. When nothing is going on and you can just sit there and actually hear yourself and see the beauty of God in front of your eyes.
