Meals on wheels: BC Schools cafeterias and buses move into action for students during closure

Bryan County Schools are closed until April 10 due to concerns of the coronavirus, but school system staff is still hard at work making sure students are provided a hot meal. Meals are being delivered by bus to three locations across the county, where parents and students can pick up a free meal.

“Grab and go” meals are available from 4:30-6 p.m. until students return to the classroom at the following locations: Hendrix Park, 3960 Wilma Edwards Road, Ellabell; Pembroke City Park, 91 Lanier St., Pembroke; and Plantation Apartments, 201 Casey Drive, Richmond Hill.

Changes to US 280 and I-16 begin Friday

Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) contractors will be shifting traffic into a temporary configuration on US 280/State Route (SR) 30 at the I-16 westbound roundabout. This will occur Friday, June 20, through Saturday, June 21, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
