Marshall Tucker Band to headline 2019 Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival

The Marshall Tucker Band, the legendary Southern rock band from Spartanburg, South Carolina, will headline the entertainment at this year's Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival, organizers announced today.

Noted for incorporating blues, country and jazz into its eclectic sound, The Marshall Tucker Band helped establish the Southern rock genre and is known for hit songs as: “Heard it in a Love Song” and “Fire on the Mountain.”

The festival will take place Oct. 18-20 at J.F. Gregory Park, 521 Cedar St., in Richmond Hill.

Festival hours are Friday, 5-11 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m.-11 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Each year the headliner plays on Saturday evenings, usually starting around 9 p.m.

David Lee Murphy and Crawford & Power are also scheduled to perform at the festival. Additional acts will be announced later.

The Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival features great live music, amusement rides, arts and crafts and the South’s best mouth-watering seafood, organizers said.
