A new program, called Women’s Empowerment is being offered by Bryan County Community Services beginning in October.

The program is described as a “psycho educational group that provides comprehensive services, training and compassionate care to women ages 18-45. In a collaborative format, women work together to increase self-confidence, learn new skills and develop strategies to increase self-sufficiency.”

Group meetings focus on topics such as vision planning, professional development, financial literacy, health and wellness, grief and loss, healthy relationships, and self-esteem/self-concept.

Registration starts in September, and classes begin Oct. 5. Meetings will be held Thursday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m. at 40 S. Industrial Blvd., Pembroke.

Please contact Claire Robinson at (912) 653-4993 for more information or to register.
