Tara Nielsen wins “BCES Biggest Loser Contest”!With the help of the Bryan County Health Department’s recording the weekly weigh ins, Bryan County Emergency Services hosted an 8-week “Biggest Loser” contest for anyone wishing to participate.  Although several people signed up, and some even lost more weight, only one person completed all the requirements for the 8-week program.  Tara Nielsen, wife of Captain Jeff Nielsen, was dedicated to the program and stuck it out for the entire 8-weeks. She actually didn’t have a ton of weight to lose but I believe she was more focused on getting in shape.  Either way she won!!, said Chief Freddy Howell.Tara was presented with a certificate, cash that was generated from the pool of participants, and a gift card and other items donated by “Georgia Game Changers.” Thanks and congratulations to all participants.  As everyone knows, Georgia Game Changers is all about health and fitness, and we thank them for their generosity and sponsoring the event.  If you are interested in participating in the next BCES Biggest Loser contest contact Chief Clark at susanclark@bryan-county.org.
