Dennis Seger has declared his intent to seek a second term as the District 2 representative on the Bryan County Board of Education in the coming election.
Seger, 53, said he has enjoyed his time on the board thus far and hopes to continue his work for the school system.
“I feel like I’ve still got some unfinished business and I still want to help the community, the school system and Bryan County as a whole,” Seger said.
Construction of new schools, helping improve academics and school activities and seeing the graduation rate of county students continue to rise are just some of the things Seger hopes to be a part of.
“We’ve got one of the best school systems in the state, and I want to keep it that way,” he said. “I want us to keep right on improving, and I’d like to be a part of that.”
His experience in the last four years as a board member and participation in board training and workshops are some of the things that Seger said make him qualified for another term.
