The nursing department at Georgia Southern is conducting a public meeting to present a study on the impact on human health of the Ogeechee River chemical spill and fish kill.
The event is from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Statesboro Regional Library. The Ogeechee Riverkeeper will be at the meeting and will "answer questions regarding the legal political matters and how you can get involved," according to a posting on the Ogeechee Riverkeeper site.

The event is free and open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend.
