A Bryan County man was killed Friday in a wreck involving a motorcycle and pickup at the Olive Branch Road intersection on Highway 280 in Black Creek.

Marc C. Blevins, 41, of Black Creek, was riding a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle west on Highway 280 around 3:45 p.m. when Zachary Purcell, 18, pulled his pickup out in front of Blevins, said Capt. Mike Maxwell with the Bryan County Sheriff’s Department.

Purcell, driving a 2005 Ford F150, was turning left from Olive Branch Road onto 280 when the accident occurred, Maxwell said.

Blevins was taken by Bryan County EMS to Memorial Health University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, Maxwell said.

The accident is still under investigation.
