Dr Lutz Gorgens, the German Consulate General for the southeast United States, was welcomed to Bryan County's Interstate Centre yesterday for a tour of ORACAL USA,a corporate partner of ORAFOL EUROPE, a German based company that manufactures vinyl films and related adhesive products.
Dr. Gorgens was impressed by the plant's green environment and complimented the management on their success, according to a press release from the Bryan County Development Authority.
The tour was led by Steve Mauney, vice president of operations, who said that Oracal has about 150 employees currently and was hoping for further expansion.
Bryan County Development Authority Executive Director F.J. Fenn said the visit was important.
"We appreciate Dr Gorgens visiting with us again in Bryan County. We are always excited to show the success of our partnership with Oracal and our continued growth and prosperity," Fenn said. "We hope this partnership shows other German and international companies that Bryan County has the ideal business environment for investment." The Interstate Centre has seven businesses located in the park, bringing in more than 500 jobs to Bryan County, the BCDA release said.
