The Bryan County Board of Education is pleased to announce that Mr. John Oliver has officially accepted the position of Superintendent of Bryan County Schools.  After much thought and consideration, the Board unanimously decided to offer Mr. Oliver a 2 ½ year contract that will begin January 1, 2010.  He has served as the Interim Superintendent since February 2009.  During the past 10 months, Mr. Oliver has provided sound leadership and has helped guide our system through some of the most difficult budgeting decisions in many years.  We have been pleased with Mr. Oliver’s exemplary performance and believe that he is the best candidate to fill the Superintendent position.  We are excited about the opportunity to continue working with Mr. Oliver and look forward to the leadership and direction he will provide for our school system.
