Members of the United Way of the Coastal Empire board and staff received another generous check in the amount of $10,000 from Hyundai Hope during a special check presentation at the United Way office.

The donation will support United Way of the Coastal Empire’s Community Fund, specifically benefitting programming related to mental health and wellness.

United Way staff and board leadership gathered at United Way’s headquarters in downtown Savannah to receive the donation. This is the third gift to date from Hyundai Hope.

“Hyundai is proud to support the United Way of the Coastal Empire and its mental health programs for the community,” said Brandon Ramirez, director, corporate social responsibility, Hyundai Motor North America. “With our corporate social responsibility initiative, Hyundai Hope, it’s important that we invest in initiatives like these that uplift children and families in need.”

“From the very beginning, Hyundai has made its commitment to our region clear, and this generous donation reaffirms that,” said Ken Rabitsch, chair of United Way of the Coastal Empire Board of Directors. “We are grateful for the support they have shown to improving lives in the Coastal Empire.”

United Way of the Coastal Empire’s mission is to improve lives by providing a safety net for the most vulnerable and pathways for upward mobility so everyone can thrive.
