Exchange Club presents awards, donations

The Exchange Club of Richmond Hill held its monthly meeting Dec. 12 at the Richmond Hill City Center, where it doled out awards and donations while welcoming special guests.

The club honored its Students of the Month for November and December, , Lucas Henrique and Rachel Langley, respectively. The Exchange Club awards a Student of the Month from September-April based on academic performance, community involvement, leadership and all-around excellence, and each winner receives a check for $100.

The club also presented a $265 donation to the Wreaths for Warriors program, which seeks to place a Christmas wreath at the 468 trees of fallen 3rd ID soldiers along the Fort Stewart Warriors Walk in a memorial service. More information is available at https://w4ww.org.

And the club welcomed Georgia District Exchange Club President Hazel Hendrix as its special guest.  Hendrix updated the group on all the good things going on with Exchange Clubs in Georgia. She also thanked the club for its many years of support for the local community.
