Cellular Sales, the nation’s largest Verizon premium wireless retailer, recently announced the relocation of its Richmond Hill store, which is now located at 70 Exchange St.

“We are grateful to our incredible customers for making this relocation possible,” said Brian Snyder, regional director of Cellular Sales. “We have tripled our store size to better serve our customers.”

Cellular Sales, based in Knoxville, Tenn., currently operates 35 retail locations in Georgia and nearly 500 stores across the U.S.

The new store has created nine new sales consultant positions, all of which will be filled by local workers. The company noted the wireless retailer will provide a boost to the local economy in Bryan County, where the unemployment rate in August was 8 percent, down slightly from 8.1 percent in June.

According to Snyder, the Cellular Sales consultants nationwide average more than $51,000 a year.

“Most importantly, our relocation helps bring career opportunities to the local area,” said Snyder. “We are committed to hiring motivated sales professionals that will help us provide the best customer service to the Richmond Hill area.”

The Richmond Hill store is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday
