Program helps nearly 300 with heating

The Coastal Georgia Area Community Action Authority Inc. delivered more than $90,000 in heating assistance this winter, according to a news release.
In Bryan County, 281 households applied and qualified for the Energy Assistance Program and $95,350 was spent in the community offsetting the cost of heating bills. Payments were made directly to the home-energy supplier.
The 2015 Energy Assistance Program is now officially closed.
