A drawing contest will be held in conjunction with this year’s National Credit Union Youth Week, which is set for April 22-28.
The week’s theme is “Be a Credit Union Super-Saver!”
To help children better understand financial education, Interstate Credit Union — which has a locations at 11199 E. Oglethorpe Highway in Midway, as well as Jesup and Baxley — is celebrating the week with a drawing contest on “why you’re saving money.”
The winner will receive four tickets to Wild Adventures Theme Park in Valdosta.
“Children are our future, and creating fun ways to help them become involved in saving and personal finance benefits everyone. Interstate CU has a number of free resources for children that focus on money management,” Interstate CU business development officer Sarah Tomberlin said.
Interstate CU offers the Savasaurus Kids Club, which is designed to teach today’s youth the merits of saving money.
