Blitchton traffic keeps on trucking
IMG_3826.jpg

Spend even half an hour in Blitchton on a weekday, any weekday, and you’ll notice the truck traffic, much of which is generated by the Savannah port as trucks roar up and down Highway 80.

A good number of those trucks turn left on Highway 280 and go past the Interstate Centre to the Highway 280 and I-16 interchange, where they get on 16 and head west.

Photos were taken while the reporter was parked at Bryan County Emergency Services Station 4 for about 30 minutes on March 11 as truck after truck rolled through the intersection.

There were breaks in the traffic during that time, but not many.
