From the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office reports
March 20: A white Kia Soul was found parked on the side of the road off Stubbs Road near GA-30.
The driver reported that she ran out of gas; however, it was discovered that she was reported missing via NCIC. The driver responded that she was hospitalized for thyroid issues in the past. Officers made contact with the driver’s parents, and the driver was taken to Effingham County Hospital to have her thyroid evaluated. The vehicle was towed.
March 20: Woman reports financial fraud on her credit card statements dating back to 2018.
March 20: Man reports that he was backing out of a driveway with his work van and accidentally struck a residence’s mailbox. The man advised that he notified the homeowner of the incident.
The only damage to the work van was a cracked right tail light; the man requested a report for his company. The mailbox took minor damage and was bent.
March 20: Bryan County officers execute a warrant for a man’s arrest at his residence.
March 20: Woman reports that on numerous occasions, various vehicles have driven down her street and used the roundabout on her property to turn around. She advised that two vehicles in particular stood out: a silver Chevrolet Trailblazer and a white passenger car. The woman further stated that she observed these vehicles in an adjacent field and believes they may be involved in drug activity; however, she was unable to provide additional information.
The woman requested extra patrol in the area.
March 20: Man reports that he had his vehicle in restoration for a year and a half, but when he got his car back the license was missing.
March 21: A verbal dispute was reported between a mother and son.
March 22: Man reports that someone stole his daughter’s purse at the airport in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The purse held her Georgia driver’s permit.
March 22: Vehicle stopped for failing to maintain its lane; driver arrested for DUI (alcohol).
March 22: Woman reports a stolen firearm from her vehicle. She stated that she last saw her firearm in her vehicle at approximately 10:30 in the morning on March 21, 2026. The woman further explained that she drove to Richmond Hill (Bryan County), Waycross (Ware County), and Jesup (Wayne County) on March 21, 2026. She stated there are no signs of entry in her vehicle.
March 23: Abandoned vehicle (red Dodge Dakota) found on the shoulder of SR-25. The vehicle had a suspended registration and no valid insurance.
March 24: Man reports that while cleaning up his backyard, his neighbor’s pit bull charged at him in an aggressive manner. He clarified that the dog only charged at him and did not bite him. He said that he was able to scare the dog away using a wooden board.
March 24: Man reports that his game camera alerted him to an individual on his property, which includes a residence currently under construction. He provided a photograph with a timestamp of March 22, 2026, at 1043 hours, depicting a white male with gray hair wearing a blue shirt, khaki shorts, gray shoes, and a blue hat looking into a dumpster at the construction site.
He also provided additional photographs with timestamps between 1828 hours and 1844 hours on March 22, 2026. These images show a black Ford F-250 or F-350 on the property, along with what appears to be the same white male, now wearing different shorts. The individual is observed walking around the property, collecting plywood, and loading it into the vehicle. At approximately 1844 hours, the vehicle is seen leaving the property with multiple pieces of plywood and possibly other construction materials in the bed.
March 24: Vehicle stopped for driver having a suspended license; driver found with a glass smoking device in a cup holder on the rear of the center console. The officer noticed a shard of suspected methamphetamine stuck to the bottom of it.
Officials later field tested the suspected methamphetamine which showed a positive result for the presence of Methamphetamine. Officers issued a citation for driving while license suspended and obtained warrants for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Related Objects.
