Authorities are still searching for a man who allegedly robbed the Mighty Mike’s convenience store on Eldora Road in Ellabell at gunpoint Sept. 11, according to a report filed with the Bryan County Sheriff’s Department.

A female clerk and one male customer were reported present at the time of the alleged crime. The attending clerk reported to police that an armed man "burst into the store," pointed a small black automatic handgun to her head and demanded her to open the cash drawer. She said the man then took all the paper money from the register.

The report also said that the gunman turned to the customer and told him to hand over his money. The customer reportedly said he did not have any money, with the gunman then ordering the man to lie on the ground or be shot.

The attendant said she hit the silent alarm after the gunman left. He had told the two to wait two minutes before calling anyone. The attendant also called police when the gunman was out of sight.

BCSO detective Donnie Thomas is investigating the robbery.

He said he has a lot of leads and is currently following them. This includes enhancing surveillance footage.

The attendant said the gunman was a white male, wearing a black skully cap with a red bandana over the lower half of his face.

Det. Thomas at 653-3822 if you have information about the incident.
