Arrests have been made for a 14-car crime spree that took place March 4 and March 5 in the Piercefield subdivision.

Richmond Hill residents Kamran Malik, 17, and Cody Moore, 17, were both arrested March 7, but police only released their identities this week. The two have been charged with entering and stealing from 14 unlocked cars, which authorities say occurred on the night of March 4 and into the next morning.

Richmond Hill Police Department Cpl. Susan Willis said much of the items stolen from the vehicles have been returned. Items taken include GPS systems, cameras, a satellite radio system and trading cards.

Willis said Malik and Moore became suspects when RHPD Capt. Mark Long saw them on the street the night the crimes were committed.

Long took down their information that night, which led to an interview with the teens several days later.

Willis said Malik and Moore admitted to the crime.
