Name: Amy Mitchell

Title: Realtor

Background: “I went to school for Marketing and began my career in property management. From there, I transitioned into “traditional” real estate via listing and marketing management before becoming a real estate agent myself. Today, I work with buyers and sellers throughout the Coastal Georgia area, with a particular focus on thoughtful preparation, marketing, and guiding clients in making intentional decisions through what is often one of the largest investments of their lives.

My appreciation for historic homes and architecture began in college. I visited Richmond Hill during that time and fell in love with the trees, water, historic homes, and the small-town character of the community. I eventually made Richmond Hill home and became involved with the Richmond Hill Historical Society, first serving on the board and later as President. Historic preservation has remained very important to me and, more recently, I have been working with residents and local leaders to advocate for stronger protections for Bryan County's historic resources as our community continues to grow.”

Future: Being named to Bryan County Magazine's 20 Under 40 list is so special because Bryan County is not just where I live, it is a community I have chosen to invest myself in. Whether I am helping someone buy or sell a home, volunteering, or spending time with my family, I care deeply about this area and what it becomes. To be recognized alongside other young people who are contributing to Bryan County in their own ways is an honor.

Professionally, I plan to continue cultivating my real estate business while maintaining the very hands-on approach that has always been important to me. Personally, I hope to continue my involvement in local historic preservation and encourage thoughtful conversations about how Bryan County can thrive while retaining the history and character that make it so special. I hope to inspire people within the community to learn more about our area, how it has evolved over time, and how we can preserve things worth saving for future generations.
