Tybee Post Theater is set to host the 2017 Tybee Island Wine Festival May 4-6 at various locations on Tybee Island.

This signature Tybee festival will consist of four major events: The Art of Pairing, May 4; Viva I’Italia, May 5; Grand Wine Tasting, May 6; and Poperazzi Encore, May 6. Tickets for each festival event are sold separately and can be purchased at tybeeposttheater.org.

The Wine Festival kicks off with the Art of Pairing at Tybee Island Social Club from 7-9 p.m. May 4. Head chef and owner of Tybee Island Social Club, Kurtis Schumm, will prepare a unique four-course meal paired with the perfect wines from appetizer through desert for 60 people.

The festivities continue May 5 with Viva I’Italia at the Tybee Post Theater from 7-10 p.m. Begin the night indulging in hors d’oeuvres and wines from various regions in Italy followed by a performance from internationally renowned band, Poperazzi, inside the theater.

The party continues May 6 with the Grand Wine Tasting under the historic Tybee Island Light Station from 3-6 p.m. followed by an encore performance by Poperazzi at the Tybee Post Theater at 8 p.m. The Grand Wine Tasting will feature more than 100 international wines, mouthwatering coastal cuisine from the island’s favorite eateries, live music and much more.

This year, festival-goers can purchase a VIP Grand Wine Tasting Ticket, which includes entry to an exclusive VIP tent with additional VIP-only food, special wines, cocktails and additional seating.

Ticket prices are as follows: The Art of Pairing, $80; Viva I’Italia, $50; Grand Wine Tasting, $65; Grand Wine Tasting VIP Ticket, $90; and Poperazzi Encore, $25.
