STATESBORO — Ticket distribution will begin next week at Georgia Southern University for former first lady Laura Bush’s speaking engagement at 7 p.m. Sept. 17 at Hanner Fieldhouse.
Tickets are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets will not be available at the door the night of the event.
The following dates have been designated for students, faculty, staff and the community to get tickets:

 Student-ticket distribution, Sept. 3-10
• Students must present their Eagle ID at the time of ticket pick-up and will be limited to one ticket per person.
• Tickets are available from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. daily in the office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement, Russell Union, room 1056.

 Faculty and staff ticket distribution , Sept. 5-6
• Faculty and staff must present their Eagle IDs at the time of pick-up and will be limited to two tickets per person.
• Tickets are available from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. daily in the office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement, Russell Union, room 1056.

Community Ticket Distribution, Sept. 9-10
• Community members will be limited to two tickets per person.
• Tickets will be available from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. daily at the Hanner Fieldhouse box office. Tickets also will be available during regular business hours at the GSU city campus, 58 E. Main St. in Statesboro, and the Coastal Georgia Center, 305 Fahm St. in Savannah.
Doors will close at 6:45 p.m. the night of the event. No one will be admitted to the event after that time. No photographs or recording of the event will be allowed.
