SAVANNAH — For the 16th year in a row, Friends of Coastal Gardens will host a Sunday supper in the Strawberry Patch at Bamboo Farm and Coastal Gardens.
It will  be from 5-7 p.m. on April 25. Guests will enjoy a traditional Southern dinner of fried chicken, black-eyed peas, tomato and Vidalia onion salad, rice and gravy, squash casserole and cornbread. If anyone has room for dessert, there will be fresh strawberry shortcake made with juicy berries from Bamboo Farm’s pick-your-own strawberry field.
Attendees will be able to shop a silent auction for gifts and plants, and there will be door prizes at the end of the night.
Guests can arrive at 4 p.m. for tours of the farm and pick strawberries from the field for $2 per pound. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m.
The cost is $20 per person, including children. Call 912-921-5460 to make a reservation. Mail checks by April 23 to P.O. Box 8935, Savannah, GA 31412. Tickets will be held at the door.
