METROPOLIS Director Zack Snyder announced a few days ago that a trailer for the highly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice would be showing in IMAX theaters and audiences could buy a ticket to see the preview.

Not long after that announcement, a bootlegged clip from the trailer was released and DC and Warner Bros. have now released the teaser trailer online.

The anticipation for footage from the Batman and Superman flick has been high since the project was announced, and the trailer both delivered and didnt.

We got some cool shots and a setup for what will likely be an epic battle between Batman and Superman. We also got some really bad CGI of the Superman statue as well as a shot of Batman looking over the city atop a tower that looks ripped right from The Dark Knight Rises.

While the only people we really see are Ben Affleck as both Bruce Wayne and Batman and Henry Cavill once again as Supes, we also hear Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Holly Hunter as an unnamed U.S. senator and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

If youre worried about the strange suit with glowing eyes that Batman is sporting, dont. The movie is taken from the popular graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns, where an older Batman battles Superman. In order to take on the son of Krypton, you need some extra armor, and thats what Bats gets. We dont want to spoil too much here, but if they can follow the graphic novel at all, the hulking suit and robotic voice will play.

The teaser trailer leaves a little to still be desired, but overall were still excited to see these two iconic heroes on the same screen. What do you think? Let us know.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is slated to release on March 25, 2016.
