Blue Man Group performs in Savannah

A Leisure Travel trip on May 13 takes you to the Savannah Civic Center for a Blue Man Group performance, described as a live celebration of art, technology, and music. It is science, laughter and a creative urge.

Teen babysitting course

Teens can become certified babysitters at a SKIES CYSitters Teenage Babysitter Course from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. May 4 and May 11.

The free course will be at SKIES Unlimited on Davis Avenue across from Diamond Elementary.

Youth will learn child care skills and get certified in first aid and CPR. Participants must attend both days to become certified.

Racquetball tournament

Join either the women or men's single teams (3 division levels) for a double elimination tournament May 2-4 at 6 p.m. at Newman Fitness Center and the 4thIBCT Fitness Center.

Play is free, but participants are asked to register by April 29.

First- and second-place place medals will be awarded in all divisions.

Girls on the Greens, a free golf clinic, will be from 10-11:30 a.m. May 4 and May 18 at Taylors Creek Golf Course. Participants should register by May 3.

Long range shooting

Soldiers, retirees, Army civilians and civilian guests can sight-in large caliber weapons May 4 from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at Red Cloud Range Complex- Echo.

Bring rifles or muzzle loaders of any caliber. Targets are at 100 to 1,000 meters. Cost is $10 per two-hour block/person.

Jacksonville Zoo

See animals of South America, Africa, Australia and even Florida while visiting the Jacksonville Zoo park and gardens May 4 at 9 a.m. with Leisure Travel. Registration will end on April 22.

Zoo attractions include a giraffe overlook and a 4,000-square-foot water park.

Golf scramble

The Hunter Garrison Commander’s Golf Scramble starts at 1 p.m. May 10 at Hunter Golf Course. Teams should register by May 8.

Bass tournament

Anglers can compete for prizes in the Catch and Release Bass Tournament May 11 from 6:30-noon at Pineview Lake on Fort Stewart.

The combined weight of up to five bass will determine winners.

Competitors can fish from the bank or a boat using trolling motors only. No live bait will be allowed. Tourney is open to everyone.

Boat rentals are available at Holbrook Recreational Equipment Checkout to military ID cardholders with boat safety cards. Valid state and Stewart/Hunter fishing permit required.

“Golf 4 Life”

Learn golf fast, at no charge, during a “Golf 4 Life” Clinic from 9-10 a.m. May 11 at Hunter Golf Course. The clinics is open to all authorized patrons, with a priority sign-up for active duty military. For more information, call 315-9115.

Corkan Family Recreation facilities will give mothers a free game or admission to any Corkan activity on May 12. It is Corkan staff’s way of saying “thank you” to mothers.
