The Rotary Club of Richmond Hill had its annual luncheon for the senior citizens of Richmond Hill/Bryan County on Dec. 15.

They were contacted through their respective senior centers.

"It is one of the highlights of the year for our club" club President Brad Brookshire said.

Rich DeLong, the club’s immediate past president agreed.

"This is a special time for our club to honor and host our seniors during Christmas and the holiday season," he said. "So often our seniors can be forgotten this time of year and many are without family and friends. And we want them to know that we care about them."

The luncheon was recently held at the Richmond Hill City Center and featured a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Drawings for prizes, music and entertainment filled the afternoon. Ballet dancers from Life Moves Dance Studio, owned and directed by Rotary Board Director Teresa Merritt, also performed.
