The Last Harvest Whistlestop Farmers Market was held Saturday in downtown Pembroke. Vendor fees collected at the evening market and canned goods collected at the King’s Cross concert and bonfire after the market were donated to the Thanksgiving Outreach Program at Pembroke United Methodist Church that helps feed less fortunate residents in North Bryan County. Pies entered into the market’s Thanksgiving pie bake-off were sold by the slice after judging, with those proceeds also donated to the cause.
