Cub Scout Pack 141 held its Halloween party Oct. 18 at the American Legion Post 164 in Pembroke.
Around 60 people attended and prizes were awarded to the best costumes in one category or the other. Not surprisingly, all the contestants won.
The decorations made for an exciting night for all, thanks to Cub Pack leaders Lonnie and Christy Dombroski with the aid of their assistants and some parents.
American Legion Post 164 hosts and sponsors the Cub Scouts, the 4-H BB Shooters program and a Girl Scout Brownie Troop.
The Post will host military active-duty families and their children at its annual Christmas party at 7 p.m. Dec. 11 at the post home in Pembroke. Reservations are needed and only military active-duty families in the Pembroke, Black Creek, Ellabell, Groveland and Brooklet areas can attend due to space limitations
For information on youth programs, to RSVP or about the American Legion, call Cmdr. Ernie Mitchell at 653-7970 or Adjutant Cmdr. B.J. Clark at 653-4958.
