MCSC auction set for March 3
MCSC

The Marne Community and Spouses’ Club (MCSC) is hosting its annual basket auction on March 3 at Club Stewart.

The event, which includes a dinner buffet and live and silent auctions, is an opportunity to reach out to the military community of Hinesville, Fort Stewart, Hunter Army Airfield and the surrounding communities.

Over the last three years, MCSC has raised nearly $90,000 to help soldiers and families enhance their lives in the Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Air Field.

“This is what we do,” said MCSC President Nina Elison. “In addition to the fellowship opportunities the club offers military spouses, our purpose is to serve our community. This year is especially challenging because the original event had to be rescheduled due to Hurricane Irma.”

The MCSC is a 501c3, nonprofit social and welfare organization whose mission is to support Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield families and the greater Marne community.

Each year the club contributes to the local community and military families in the form of community outreach, academic scholarships and welfare grants, which is made possible by fundraising events.

There are still plenty of opportunities to become an event sponsor or donate a themed basket or individual items. For sponsorship and ticket information, visit www.marnecommunityclub.com.
