Dec. 1: Small works art show - Arts on the Coast sponsors this show, on display now throughout December inside What’s the Scoop Cafe, featuring small works of art by local artists. All of the art is on sale for under $150, and includes originals or prints of paintings, photog raphs, mixed media works and more. Stop by to take a look and purchase a unique Christmas gift.

Dec. 3:
9th annual Chili Cook-Off -
Head over to J.F. Gregory Park from 6:30-9 p.m. to savor delicious varieties of chili that are sure to make for a spicy competition. Also featured will be craft vendors, live entertainment, and many activities for kids, including photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Dec. 4:
Hometown Christmas Parade -
Beginning at 10 a.m., watch as local school and scout groups, bands, organizations and more wind their merry way through downtown Richmond Hill atop floats and on foot.

Christmas Stroll - The Richmond Hill / Bryan County Chamber of Commerce presents this 2nd annual event in support of local businesses. Participating shops will welcome patrons with light refreshments, door prizes, entertainment and more from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call 756-3444 for map, program of events and grand prize drawing details.

Christmas on the Ogeechee Boat Parade - Boats festooned with holiday lights will cruise along the river starting at the Ft. McAllister State Park pier at 6:30 p.m. Those watching on land will enjoy a fireworks display, live music, food and more. For details, call John at 547-0149.

Dec. 5:
Pet Photos with Santa -
PawParazzi (11250 Ford Ave.) invites you to bring your pets for photos with Santa Claus from 1-5 p.m. A minimum donation of $20 is requested for photos; proceeds benefit National Canine Cancer Foundation. Call 756-8807 to find out more.
