Free income-tax preparation class. — The United Way is offering free income-tax preparation services to qualifying individuals at the Pembroke and Richmond Hill offices from 3-8 p.m. Thursdays and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays. Call 912-447-5577 or go to www.niacdc.org for information.

Cadet Girl Scouts — Night Owl Badge class is at 5:45 p.m. at Fort McAllister State Park. Scouts can earn their Night Owl badges by learning about a brown bat colony and hiking to the bat boxes to watch them emerge at dusk. Next, the girls will walk to the Magnolia Trail and enjoy a night-time sensory hike. Everyone must have a flashlight and wear sturdy shoes for the hike. Following the hike, there will be a campfire. Admission is $2 per girl, and one leader per troop is free. The cost for additional adults is $2, and the parking fee is $5. For information, call 912-727-2339.

South Bryan Recreation Department football camp fundraiser is from 8 a.m.-noon — Current Kansas City Chiefs and former UGA quarterback Aaron Murray is hosting the youth football camp at DeVaul Henderson Park in Richmond Hill. The camp focuses on role modeling/leadership as well as football, and it is for all positions, ages 6-16. There are 140 spots available, so each player will get individual instruction from Murray.
The ninth annual Race for Preservation is from 10 a.m.-6 p.m — Historic Savannah Foundation is hosting the event and the sponsor is Seacrest Partners.
