March 6: Richmond Hill Historical Society Lecture Series — The Richmond Hill Historical Society invites a guest speaker each month to speak on their unique insight into life on the Georgia Coast during the many historic periods. The lecture begins at 7 p.m. For more information, call 756-3697.

March 7
First Friday Art March — Connect Savannah sponsors a free art march from 6-9 p.m. at the Desotorow Gallery in Savannah. Open houses, new exhibits and family-friendly activities are open to the public during the art gallery hop. Guests can visit the Indie Arts Market on De Soto Avenue or ride their bikes on the Art March Bike Scavenger Hunt. The after-party will take place at The Wormhole for those 21 and up, starting at 9 p.m. For more information, call 810-919-7101.

March 8
Dolphin Project: Lecture and Research Survey Training — The Dolphin Project presents a program from 10-11 a.m. about bottlenose dolphins, the sea mammals living in coastal waters. One-hour training on how to participate in ongoing photo-ID research surveys on inshore waters will take place from 11 a.m.-noon. No experience is necessary, and the project is especially seeking skippers with boats, photographers, team leaders, assistants and kayakers. The event is free and open to ages 10 and up. The training is for anyone 16 and up. The program will be at the Southwest Chatham Library in Savannah.
