Here is a little of what is coming up in our area:

Oct. 22
Richmond Hill High School 2015 Homecoming Parade — Parade will kick off at South Bryan County Recreation Department Gym, 508 Timber Trail, Richmond Hill, at 5 p.m. and continue route to the Richmond Hill High School campus. For more information, go to rhhs.bryan.k12.ga.us.

Oct. 23
Autumn Gardenfest — Garden-related vendors, activities for children, food at the pavilion sold by Friends of the Coastal Gardens, free garden workshops and speakers, including the Redneck Rosarian, Diana Churchill, Norman Winter, Joan Calder and Linda Askey. Event is noon to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens, 2 Canebrake Road, Savannah. Admission is $5 per vehicle, and parking is limited. Oct. 24
Pembroke Spooktacular 5K and 10K Run — Pembroke Downtown Development Authority and Georgia Game Changers Running Co. will host the third annual Pembroke Spooktacular 5K and 10K. This race features a costume-friendly 5K run/walk and 10K run over and around the railroad tracks throughout Pembroke. And just to make this run interesting, the course runs through the local cemetery. Following the race, the Spooktacular festival takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at DuBois Square. For more information, call Pembroke City Hall at 653-4413. Register online at savannahraces.com. Registration is $30 through Friday, Oct. 23, and increases by $5 on race day.

Oct. 28
Howl-o-Ween Yappy Hour — The Bryan County Bark Park will host a ghoulish BYOD (bring your own dog) outdoor event for dogs and their owners. Event will include a dog costume contest and support the Bryan County Bark Park. It takes place from 6-8 p.m. at Fort McAllister Marina, 3203 Fort McAllister Road, Richmond Hill.
