July 2: Sunset Party hosted by Fish Tales — Enjoy the sunset, live entertainment and food at Fish Tales, 3203 Fort McAllister Road. For more information visit http://fishtalesrh.com or check out the Fish Tales Facebook page. Summer Sunset Parties will be held at Fish Tales every Thursday through Aug. 27 starting at 6 p.m.

July 3
City of Richmond Hill to Sponsor Independence Day Celebration — The city of Richmond Hill will sponsor an Independence Day celebration at J.F. Gregory Park. There will be farmers’ market items, arts and crafts vendors and kid-friendly activities, including water rides and pony rides. A variety of food choices will be available. The evening will feature a concert, and traditional fireworks will begin around 9 p.m. Those attending are encouraged to bring a change of clothes for kids, towels, blankets and chairs. July 4
Independence Day Celebration hosted by Fort McAllister State Park — Celebrate Independence Day like it’s 1864. Come out for some old-fashioned fun. Living-history demonstrations, cannon firings and musket demonstrations will take place on the grounds from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-17, and there is a $5 parking fee. July 6
Midnight Star Pottery hosts Summer Camp Session No. 2 — Camp runs Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Ages 5 and older are welcome. The cost is $125 per camper and $10 off for each additional sibling attending the same week. Campers will make about eight to 10 projects. Snacks and drinks are included. Projects involve the potter’s wheel, hand-building with clay, glass fusion, camper’s choice, canvas and tie-dying T-shirts. Register today! The MERGE hosted by the Community of Inspired Women — The MERGE is a monthly networking, inspiration and education event hosted by the Community of Inspired Women. CIW meets at 5:30 p.m. every first Tuesday at the Liberty County Performing Arts Center, 2140 E. Oglethorpe Highway in Hinesville. Members and friends of CIW meet to merge experiences, relationships, grace and empowerment. Inspiring women to get from where they are to where they want to be.
